Bungalow Modern was started with a passion for restoration, design, and story telling. Bret Iwan and Beau Hoffman’s Pasadena bungalow restoration mixed with their visual arts background, has given way to a design studio which salutes the past, while designing for the future. Bungalow Modern works to highlight the character and charm of each individual project, with a focus on the story being told. We strive to utilize our experience and expertise to create designs which meet every client's needs.

Bret is a Los Angeles based designer, with a degree from Ringling College of Art & Design. He has a love of the outdoors, national parks, plein air painting, and is a current SAG/AFTRA member. Beau is a Production Designer/Art Director working in television/theater, and a current member of the Art Directors Guild, with a degree from Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama. Bret and Beau reside in Pasadena with their two pups, Dakota and Ollie.
